Aged Care Reform Updates, including CHSP DEX Reporting Changes – May 2025

We are pleased to share the latest update on our progress for the Support at Home reform and CHSP DEX reporting changes.

Support at Home

Release 1 – Participant Onboarding; Participant Budgets; Configuration

The focus of this first release is to ensure that you can start migrating your participants from HCP to Support at Home. These settings can be enabled to only apply from July 1. A summary of the changes:

  • Support at Home Configuration: configuration and other settings required to enable Support at Home in your Nightingale environment, including setting up the Support at Home funding types.
  • Participant Budgets: Changes required to ensure all details of a participant’s budget can be configured. This is to facilitate the participant onboarding process and includes tracking of care management fees as well.
  • Participant Onboarding: The creation of a tool that allows migration of HCP Clients to Support at Home participants, setting up their budgets and converting their HCP rosters to utilise Support at Home funding.

We are in the process of completing beta testing of this first release with some of our existing customers and will be finalising the release with overall regression testing this week.

Release 2 – Participant Statements; Contributions; Claims; Care Management rollover

Work is ongoing for the remaining Support at Home items and a future release prior to the 1st July will include the following:

  • Participant Statements: work is ongoing with setting up participant statements to show all the information required as per the sample provided.
  • Participant Contributions: invoicing for participant contributions
  • Support at Home claims: claiming for Support at Home will initially be supported utilising the CSV process. We are currently working to produce the CSV file, which can then be uploaded into PRODA to facilitate claiming.
  • Care management rollover: facilitating the rollover of care management funding from quarter to quarter and rolling over the outstanding care management funding at the end of financial year.

CHSP DEX Reporting Changes

Development has commenced on the changes required for the CHSP DEX Report from the 1st July. Further information will be provided, along with release date as we get closer to the time, but we will be releasing changes to allow recording of the information prior to the 1st July. Updates to the DEX Report format will be completed following that to ensure our customers are ready to meet their reporting obligations.

We continue to anticipate post July 2025, both within the sector and government as much as operators grasping new processes and business practices, will come more insights on where technology like ours can help support more effective and efficient service delivery.
