Aged Care Reforms Updates – November 2025

It’s now been one month since Support at Home officially began, and our team at Nightingale has been working hard to keep providers ahead of every change.

Since our last update, we’ve released a new round of Support at Home enhancements designed to reduce admin, improve accuracy, and give you even more confidence during the rollout.

What is new?

Discontinue Services & Generate Final Balance Records

You can now discontinue a participant’s Support at Home services and instantly generate a full final balance record, including a detailed exit statement with a custom date range. This ensures your team can produce accurate, compliant documentation at any point in the participant journey.

SAH Fee Reduction Supplement Tools

We’ve introduced full Fee Reduction Supplement functionality, including:

  • Hardship assessment management

  • Updated invoices reflecting approved reductions

  • Automated reminders for assessments pending 28+ days

This helps providers stay compliant while supporting clients experiencing financial hardship.

New Budget Report (PDF) for SAH Clients

A brand-new “Generate Budget Report” button is now available inside SAH Budgets. With one click, download a clean, client-ready PDF that includes:

  • The full SAH budget table

  • A breakdown of rostered services

Enhanced Claim CSV Upload & Reconciliation

You can now upload Support at Home claim response CSVs directly into Nightingale to automatically validate and reconcile:

  • Price/unit updates

  • Missing attachments

  • Late submission reason codes

  • Claim adjustments and value changes

We’ve also added end-to-end verification so claims generated in Nightingale meet all Services Australia requirements.

MYOB, Xero & QuickBooks Integrations – Now SAH Enabled

Finance integrations now support exporting Support at Home client contribution invoices straight into MYOB, Xero, and QuickBooks — keeping your financial workflows seamless.

Accurate Client Contributions (Always Rounded Down)

Support at Home contribution calculations now always round down to the nearest cent for complete accuracy across attendances, invoices, and adjustments.

Clearer Statements for Third-Party Services

SAH statements now clearly label “Third Party Supplier” for all contractor-delivered services — improving transparency for clients and auditors.
